Any successful communication starts with asking the right questions and listening to the Brochure_Symbolresponses.  What goals do you want to accomplish, how do you want to be perceived and who are you speaking to.  I am a strong believer in processes so it is no surprise that I have a process for thinking too.  It isn’t complicated but it helps me focus and keep my mind on the goal to be achieved.   My thought process can be summarized like this:

  • Preparation  – research and learning about the message you want to relay and that the market will receive
  • Contemplation – brainstorming concepts and ideas that will convey your message
  • Revelation  – the aha moment when you find the creative idea that will do exactly what you want either in words or through art
  • Implementation – process of working on the creative to see that it will work through a campaign or program

I then begin to tell your story with the medium that best suits your situation.
