Trade Show Management
Built and managed well rounded trade show program and speaker sessions. Provided a case for exhibiting at targeted trade shows in a situation where in prior years they had been severely mismanaged. Managed the entire trade show management process from researching shows, to booth development, pre-show and in-booth promotions, follow-up and tracking of show results. Created public relations opportunities by arranging speaking engagements and meetings with the press resulting in several articles published for the client. Client now participates in multiple events annually, resulting in several new projects.
Orchestrated Company 20th Anniversary Celebration
Developed an anniversary event to highlight the history and accomplishments of a local high tech company. Built a display by compiling company history and quotes from original employees, incorporated a technology applications timeline and display table by working with engineers to obtain technical backgrounds of past projects. Secured the Lieutenant Governor as the Keynote Speaker for a well-attended gala event complete with a product showcase, string quartet and desktop memento for all attendees.
Sales Meeting Planning
Planned multi-day sales meeting for global sales team. I was responsible for all logistics including hotel booking, transportation, welcoming night, remembrance item, evening entertainment and meal selection. The attendees had less than 48 hours in the city so I had to make the most of it. The event involved a welcome happy hour on the day of arrival taking place at the host hotel to accommodate different travel schedules. The second evening included a an early evening at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame followed by a private dinner at an upscale restaurant on the water with a view of the city. Private Transportation was provided for all activity ensuring seamless logistics. Proper planning and negotiating brought final expenses 10% under budget.
Planned fundraiser which was simultaneously held at three locations. I was responsible for all planning including: prize donations, participant recruitment, volunteer recruitment, site logistics, fund collection before and after the event, theme and promotional materials as well as post event appreciation dinner. Event resulted in an Increase of participation by 54% and an increase in net revenue of 50%.
